Where did NAVIGATE® come from?
NAVIGATE® did not start as a name or a set of letters looking for stages to fit them.
It took shape from the depth of hundreds of different career cases, and from years in which Amira Mayoof combined her experience in human resources and the job market with her direct practice in coaching and career development.
As the questions and cases varied, one need kept recurring: how do we bring together what a person needs on their career journey within one integrated framework?
From there NAVIGATE® took shape, then developed through application with clients, and its practice widened through the Certified Career Coaching Practitioner programme and the practitioners who applied it to different career cases.
Today this book documents the philosophy of the framework, the logic of its stages, and its way of looking at the career journey.
About the author
Amira Mayoof
A human resources and career development consultant, an ICF-credentialed Professional Certified Coach (PCC), and a career development specialist holding the CCSP credential from the NCDA.
She has more than 20 years of experience in human resources and in developing people and leaders, including regional experience across several Middle East and North Africa markets.
She is the founder of Amira Mayoof for Consulting, Coaching & Career Development, the developer of the NAVIGATE® framework and its tools, and the developer and trainer of the Certified Career Coaching Practitioner programme.
She has worked with hundreds of career cases, and her work brings together HR experience, coaching practice, career development theory and an understanding of the job market.
